TODAY'S HADITH
"None of you will have faith till he wishes for his (Muslim) brother what he likes for himself."
TODAY'S REFLECTION
Every family has its famous stories. The uncle and the wedding speech. The aunt and the rice. We tell them well, and they get a little better every time.
Everyone laughs, and none of it feels cruel. Somewhere along the way, though, the person slips out of the story and a character takes their place: the one who never listens, the one with an opinion on everything.
Then the real person walks in, and that's who we greet. They could have spent the whole week being kind, and we'd miss it, because that isn't how their story goes.
We know how this feels from the other side. Every one of us has a family that tells a story about us. The late one. The difficult one. We can walk into a room at fifty and feel it land on us before we've said a word.
What would we give for one person in that room to say something true and good about us while we're out of it?
We can be that person today. It takes ten seconds and one true good thing.
"She sat with Dad at the hospital all week."
Words like that have a way of getting back to people, and we've all seen a face change when they do.
Talking to someone who can help, like a trusted friend, an imam or a counsellor about a relative who is really hurting us is different. That's asking for help.
The rice story may need a rest.
FIRST RIPPLE
Today, the next time a relative comes up in conversation, say one true good thing about them first.

QUICK QUESTION
How do you like the new look?
A DU'A FOR YOU
Please make du'a for our sister Tasnim Kosar Ahmed. She recently suffered a heart attack and is now going through a series of tests.
O Allah, Lord of all people, take away her harm and heal her. You are the Healer, and there is no healing except Your healing, a healing that leaves no illness behind. Make her tests clear and her results good. Guide her doctors and give her the strength to recover fully. Let this illness be a cleansing for her and a means of raising her rank with You. Comfort her family, and return her to them in good health for many more years of worship and joy. Ameen.
